Just want to get a feel for the R&R Windu. So put down your Windu stories, please.
Played against a Bastila squad last night. (vs jak) Got one crit on each activation (three) with Mace, good-by Stuckus, Bastila and the Exile. We then swapped, him Rep me OR. jak got one atack, plus one LS Riposte - two misses no crits vs. a Jedi Seer (jak has the worst die rolling ever) This Windu has a huge target on him. Anyone who could shoot him, did, no matter what the to hit was. Both ended up with 50 HP left.

Oh man it always is about dice rolls, so I don't know what this fuss is all about. My friend's sister used Yobuck and new Windu yesterday. Good dice rolls won't help you if u don't know how to play this new character properly....

Totally destoyed Windu with two types of squads. One was a commander based shooter squad(Echani Handmaidens). With a well placed Atris, even the r-2 towed Windu couldnt get there. The Echani s made short work. The other was a Shooter squad with little commander effects.
This piece is a great piece for those who want to do something about those Reikan - Dodonna squads. It works well against Lancer Droid teams, and a various other Top teir teams. However there are some teams that Windu will have definate problems with. I can think of quite a few, such as an Sith Inquisiter team .
I guess it boils down to this. If you like things the way they were, with the same teams always being dominant(not necessarily winning, but dominant) then you won't like the new Windu. If you like some new options , some less stale options, the new Windu will be great, Both in playing him and figuring out new and ingenious ways to beat him. I think he is great for the Game!

Of all the ways to boost him, I've found Commander Ahsoka to be a great option. It makes critting that much more deadly, because when he does, its often KOs the target, immediately triggering Rolling Cleave and Flurry (which is a 2/5 chance of another crit right there).
As far as his vulnerability, that can be (somewhat) remedied by playing your swapping right, which you should be playing with Windu anyways.

I get lucky rolls all the time (almost), so I expect at least one crit per activation with this guy and plan that way.

YES, agreed. I'm not a tourny player: that colors the way I look at pieces. The game we play used Gamers rules, I learned from the first game and spread my guys out to minimize the targets.

Its been awhile since we played in tourneys, but we play the same way, Using the Official rules. Some say the new Windu is way too tough, and although I do agree that he is a figure to be reckoned with( Finally a good Windu Piece), I don't think he is unbeatable. To some extent it probably depends what you play. I like using Windu to try and penetrate the enemy's defense for a quick strike against main Commanders or Mas. Its gonna be a fun piece to try and defend against too.
