Bit of help with Kol.. Options

I'm trying to build up a 150 point squad with Kol as a challenge... I cannot use any R & R or DoF pieces (the guy who I'll be playing doesn't want to use them...)

So far I think Kol and Wedge are needed (I know he's gonna be bringing Rex and prob Dash - so Kol needs some range defence...)

What else could I use?

I was thinking either Mara, Kyle JBM, or Old man Han as a second main hitter, but have y'all got any better ideas?
I also though Jaina, then bring in a Han....but not sure...

And I don't have a Ganner btw, so please avoid him :)

Shado Vao is a great defensive NR piece, though expensive to use especially in 150 with Kol, especially since he isn't the best output for damage. The old stand by of Wedge and Leia is a great option. Mara is a fantastic piece on nearly any NR squad, especially if you use Luke or Yoda Force Spirit. And then a group of Antarian Rangers are fantastic back up for any Jedi. If you know he is bringing Dash and Rex a lil bounty hunter might help out too and ensure you get the hit.

If you are worried about Defense though you can always through a few Human Bodyguards in addition to Wedge and Leia to make sure even if they do hit it won't be on who they want. Just a few thoughts.

Mara-stealth, cunning, LA assault, twin
Old man Han-accurate shotThumpUp , double, GMA
Wedge & Leai JK combo- every shooter hates evade with 2 savesCursing
Kol's lil'boy-healing damaged figs is really annoying for opponents.Sneaky

Wedge/Leia/Kol makes Kol quite the tank.

If you don't want to spend the points on Wedge and Leia, but still want to protect Kol, I'd say use Jarael. She naturally has Evade and a couple of FPs. Throw her in front to soak up shots as you close. That, and if Jarael gets in, she could activate some of those big shooters.

I've had pretty good luck with this.

Kyp
Wedge
X6 uggies.

Advance with evade and Mara and kyp can lay down some hurt. Kol is a brick wall.

That is pretty good in my opinion. The stealth will help you out and with a constant supply of FP, Mara is an incredible piece. Plus Mettle? Insane.

I love the Antarian rangers, but do you think they will help you out more than Leia? Two evade saves on Kol and Mara is fantastic. And Mara is a great shooter, plus Leia has some ranged combar prowess with LS Throw (which come to think of it, I don't know if i have ever hit anyone with her throw...) I can see going other way since the Rangers do provide solid stat shooters with stealth while near a Jedi. It all depends on if you want a more solid defense or two more activations and shooters.

Dodona is never a bad idea if you have the room.

Against a squad you know to be shooter heavy, running Corran, Wedge and ghosty Luke will give him fits. Evade and Absorb will prove rather annoying.

Saber that's a pretty neat squad...I wouldn't have thought of that...

I'm not sure that Dodonna is needed, as 10 activations is normally enough at 150 I think... GMA Corran is a nice idea though, although I like Mara's hitting power.

As for Antarians vs Leia, the only reason I have the Antarians is that 2 stealthed mobile shooters can prob give me more in the long term that Leia.
Kol already has Motf2 if I need to reroll something, and Mara has stealth, evade and the Mettle roll if needed...
