Really...for get it, it will never happen. I don't know you and I don't owe you anything, let alone an apology.

please do not insult my intelligence by calling me stupid and then DEMAND an apology via PM. I like how you can can call people names, insult our intelligence, talk down our demeanor and say how people didn't thoroughly think through their posts and pretend like that's ok. Please you have made it more than clear in many of you posts that this game is goin to be your way...and only your way...no matter how we like it. so your apology PM will NEVER EVER happen. call me stupid...please, and childish....you have the thinest skin I have ever seen for a rules designer on a forum. I have more respect for Gary Gygax (R.I.P) who openly discussed rules with players/fans accepted criticism of his rules and agree that some of his early rulings/ideas were crap. You can't even do that. Respect for you? forget it. You take everything this community says about your rules/ideas/statements as a personal attack. Now that's stupid. Oh I'm sorry did I discount your intellect again. and really if that lil' rap/poem bothered you that bad...you might want to re-read it...because it was nothing but the truth, from all sides.

you've attacked me with name calling (Jerk, idiot, hot shot)...where I have said nothing about you other than making comments about your ruling/ideas...seems you are the one making personal attacks...and whats worse is this communty here accepts it. what a sham, and no one else is willing to speak out or up about it, even though it's more than me who thinks you're a(n) (insert your favorite slurr) with how you talk to us and respond to us. You wield that "I'll have this locked" garbage, when something isn't going your way, like a wreckless wampa with a lightsaber. And everyone here I have noticed is quick with the "Oh sorry Bill no offense meant when I said, what ever it is they said that you found offensive." when in reality there was no need for them to grovel and whimper with what YOU mistakenly read and misenturpided (ironic I know), but elegantly decide to tell them they didn't thoroughly think their comment out and how you don't really care what it is they had to say in the 1st place.

Well I for one am not one to bend over, kneel down or bow my head in your presense, like you're some sort of royalty. Forget it.

And if this earns me a ban for speaking out my opinion. oh. well. then.

Don't be too hard on Adidamps. Sometimes Bill does come across as the way he described him. I don't think Bill means to come off that way. Designers should indeed respect other peoples opinions, as well as respect others in general. I don't think that we as a ccommunity condone that type of attitude though. There may be a few who come of as arrogant but that doesn't mean the majority are.
In Bill's defense. His passion for the game may come across the wrong way. He says whats on his mind and usually doesn't mean to deride anybody. He has a ton of knowledge about the game and is contributig greatly.
Its going to take a lot of thick skin on everybodies part if this game and community is going to survive. By the same token, a little sensitivety by all forum members would go a long way in preventing rifts between players and designers.BlooMilk

If this isn't baiting, then I don't know what is.

You started this whole mess by going public over an ability you were supposed to be playtesting. Further, your posts in the thread indicated you weren't looking for a discussion as you'd already made up your mind. Several people, including Bill, talked about precedent origionally set by WotC as one of the reasons for the decision on how the ability worked.

Bill even admitted that you had a point as to how WotC origionally set this up, and that the designers do not as a rule want to overturn anything WotC had done up to the point where they bailed. He also explained the reasons for doing so. Maybe you don't like the way he said it. Or...maybe you just don't like people disagreeing with you. That smacks of arrogance.

I don't condone nor condemn Bill's general posting style, and I don't know what he said to you via PM. All I know is that you violated the trust of the designers going public with playtesting, and you decided to go public with what was being privately discussed in PM. It is pretty clear that you instigated all of this and now are attempting to curry favor with the community. Like Sashlon said, that's pretty low class.

@Qvos Just so you know, I agree in general that we should always give each other the benefit of the doubt. I don't have a problem with his opinion, just how he expressed it in public. As a playtester, it is his responsibility to report back what he has found...BUT NOT PUBLICLY. Thats where I take issue with him... he went public both with playtesting results and a PM.

Once again qvos, very diplomatic. I have a sister who speaks her mind (or dosen't think before she speaks). We love her, but she's blasted annoying sometimes.
