I always here people complain that no characters with mounted weapon (save for blizzard scout 1 and Luke's speeder) are playable.....and in the v-sets we've seen attempts to make them as such (zann underboss)......
Here's a question: why not just update them?
For the microset in v-set 4 perhaps we could get updates of the most popular vehicles:
For example, rather than the shoddy stap we have we could use a Single Troop Aerial Platform with:
Cost 28
HP 40
Df 17
At 4
Dm 30
Droid
Flight
Speed 10
Strafe attack
Recon
Does that sound playable?

I quite like the idea of a heavy weapons micro set. But would be content with updated vehicles and mounted weapons with each V-Set a couple at a time.

Does this open up the idea of equipment cards ????
ie buying
Flight (jetpack) and equiping a mini... for a cost
or
Flamethrower
or
grenades
or does that take leap into VERY hard to cost due to the super characters it would make ??
10pts to equip a trooper with flight isnt the same as 10pts to equip Darth Vader with flight...

I'm fairly sure it was no accident that Wedge's Snowspeeder was 'underwhelming'.
I'm pretty sure we'll get some more decent huges soon. The Vong Firebreather is pretty awesome if you use it correctly, and the Leviathan is really, really fun.

I think it would be a cool idea as a micro set, something like Battle of Geonosis or Battle of Kashyyk (some sort of clone wars battle) and then just pump out two vehicle remakes for each faction. I like the idea for your STAP, nice. though
