I’ve got threads all over the place; Time to try to consolidate them.

A Thread containing some Old and New Republic pieces from 2010 is here

http://www.bloomilk.com/forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6739

.... and another older thread with some cards, templates and 3D terrain is over here ....

http://www.bloomilk.com/forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=6110

Also, been working on new card ideas and mini's. The mini’s may need to wait till Xmas vacation, but cards are a lot easier to whip up. Some of these are new ideas, some several years old. Some I’ve shared with others, some I’ve “borrowed” off the old WOTC site and changed/improved.

Not much for naming sets but what the heck; I call this set “The Meek Shall Inherit the Force.” Most of these pieces are cheaper non-uniques. I’ve also tried to make some pieces that can help make older pieces (hopefully) more playable. In No Particular Order.

Seperatists

Anzti Dark Sider

Elite Geonosian Warrior

Geonosian Regular

Geonosian Tech

Muunilinst Militiaman

Separatist Tactical Leader
An attempt to make Separatist non-droid pieces useful.

Separatist Commando Leader
An attempt at making Sep Commando’s playable

Morgukai
I waved this at Gwek awhile back; interesting to compare how we altered it in slightly different directions :)

Old Republic

Vanguard Trooper

Havoc Squad Troop Leader

Havoc Squad Trooper

Old Republic Troop Leader

Elite Rocket Jumper

Imperial

Imperial AT-PT
I actually have a mini for this. Ever see a DeAgostini AT-PT?

Imperial Terror Trooper

Mandalorian

Mandalorian Recruiter
Something to help the Mando’s a little. Really curious about others thoughts.

Mandalorian Combat Engineer
An older piece I thought I’d toss in here.

Mandalorian Beskgar Shaper

Rebel
My token Rebel; they have plenty non-uniques.

Rodian Infiltrator

Sith

Sith Cipher Agent

Naddist Rebel
An attempt at creating cheap Sith. Updated to show Rapport with Freedon Nadd

New Republic

R9 Astromech Droid

Mon Calamari Ranger

Fringe

Terellian Thief
Gwek mentioned he’d be a good piece as switch fodder. Should be interesting to play with.

Ugnaught Traps

Vilmarh Grahrk
Always thought he should have had a Real mini, and with better stats. I suspect he may pop up in that Live Action TV show with Quinlan Vos.

Selkath Smuggler

Selkath Fringer

Rakata Bounty Hunter
Something Different; with the Rakata poping up again in TOR game, why not?

Czerka Security Chief
Another attempt at making cheap fodder.

Czerka Corporate Security

DashadeWarrior

Viqi Shesh
I made her a Fringe; couldn’t see her as an NR piece since she’s a traitor, and she’s not a YV.

Peace Brigade Recruiter
Something to make these guys more interesting.

UtaiWorker
If you can blow a door, why not rebuild one?

Black Sun Tech Trader
Why can’t they sell illegal B&E stuff?

Alderaan Smuggler

Cerean Mercenary Tactician
Another piece that’s been altered slightly.

Kaleesh Fringer Leader
I think this piece might make some of those cheap Fringer pieces more useful than just being dust collecters.

Mercenary Comm Specialist
A “Relay Orders” piece that might survive a little longer.

Human Black Sun Vigo

Jedi Order (generic Jedi pieces that can fit into any era.)

Jedi Sentinel

Jedi ExplorCorp

Selkath Jedi Master

Jedi Knight Kerra Holt
Everyone else is throwing out a Kerra, so here’s my take ...

Battle Tested Jedi Padawan

Yuuzhan Vong

Yuuzhan Vong Fire Spitter

Yuuzhan Vong Infiltrator

Wow! Nice range of stat cards!
Really suave photoshopping there,
some cards are a little much (vong firespitter, for example)
but all round there are boosts and nice playtested pieces.
I dont see anything that immediately stands out as 'broken' or unbalanced BigGrin
I especially like the subtle separatist pieces - they all look fun (non unique anzati? awesome! effective geonosians? cool. Tactical leadership? needed!)

Thanks for the thoughts. Even though the Seps have been getting a lot more lately, its always Droidcentric; their old Non-unique/non-droid pieces are unplayable. Ditto the Fringer pieces; even thou there're only a hanful, they had some nice abilities if they were more playable ....

Never was a Vong guy so I never play them. I saw the Vong had lil hand held flamers so I made a piece up. Maybe lose the Speed 8?

Nice stuff as usual.

I noticed that a few of the commanders had Squad abilities. Unless they also count as something else, those abilities aren't likely to see use.

Appreciate the comments from one and all. Been thinking (Too Much) about TOR coming out. Got a few takes on some pieces ….

Couldn’t make up my mind about Shae’s faction. Fringe? Mando? Sith? Made a Fringe & Mando version; might make a Sith one too.

Hylo will be popping up around here soon. I see her as a female version of Dash.

She didn’t last long but hey, I liked the pic ...

Just a low cost piece because I again liked the pic.

If the Old Republic can have a cheap recruit, why not a young Rebel?

Not much on him, but I’ll be the first on the block to extrapolate what he could be like ....

I was talking with Squelch Dog about the diferences in our KRONOS-327 stats and I said I'd post my old/new versions here ....

Comparing my old version and the new version incorporating some of Squelch's ideas ...

Old/New

The front/back of the new version

Thanks for the ideas Squelch; tell me what you think.

Very Nice work man! Love the cards surf rider! Woot Excellent job with those! Wow you have quite a few customs. I have to say as I started to read through them I kept thinking man, I'd like to play each one of these and see how they do. ThumpUp Really great stuff, there were so many I really liked, the list would be too long to post. Laugh

Sweet, nice job on yours surf rider! ThumbsUp I think your newer one is a great representation of his character. That was what I forgot with KRONOS-327! He's part of Black Sun!!! Doh! I forgot about that. Ziro was a Black Sun Vigo. Now that I think about it, I started working on mine a while back and as I remember, I didn't want him to be too much like IG-88. Which was why I kept his stat's the same as an IG-86 droid. And then added different special abilities. Same as you did. Smile That's cool we had a similar line of thinking there. I like the new one, looks good.ThumpUp I had mulled over the idea of giving him Opportunist or Cunning Attack. But after talking to a buddy who helps me cost and finalize customs, I dropped that idea. That was when he suggested Assassin, and I liked that better. He also suggested Programmed Target. Which I really liked because it kinda gives KRONOS that Terminator Droid type feel to his character. I do like that you gave him Accurate Shot, I won't add that to mine though. Not that ours are too much alike. Wink I will add Black Sun though.

You have someone helping with ideas & advice? Must be nice! My local group doesn't usually have anything much to say ... not much imagination off the map anyway.

Got a few new pics this weekend; I'm getting my thesaurus out and looking for some new words for crook BigGrin

How about, Robber, Outlaw, Criminal, Lawbreaker, Felon, Offender, and Villain. BigGrin Ya my buddy CC-23478 is one of the several people who helps me out. He helps me to tweak the idea's I have and he's really good at costing characters. It's nice when someone is there with a second set of eye's, checking and tweaking a custom. Maybe you could find someone on here to help you. Wink Heck I'll give you a hand. Sometimes it's just nice to have people to run idea's past. ThumpUp My Buddy keith on here and General Grievous are two other of my buddies who help me out. Almost forgot, my other buddy kobayashimaru has a lot of really great idea's and he is a top notch custom maker as well. ThumpUp

Can't wait to see your new pic's! Cool

I've conversed occassionally with Kob, mostly about various 3D projects we've both worked on over the years, mostly on the old WOTC site.

I've got about a dozen or so new cards I did this weekend. Not sure how many I want to throw out here ... just counted my cards; apparently I've got over 600 made. About 550 have corresponding mini's, everything from simple repaints to head/limb exchanges. Never was any good at green stuff. If I had a decent camera, I'd photograph some of them.

I used to limit myself to only making cards for mini's I could actually make. The last few weeks since I have so little time I've allowed myself to spread out to make cards on anything/anybody interesting, especially if I've gotten an idea or good pic.

As for names ....

Cutthroat
Buccaneer
Freebooter
Marauder
Desperado
Outlaw
Gangster
Ruffian
Hoodlum
Hooligan
Roughneck
Gunman
Fugitive
Racketeer :)

Maybe I'll post some new ones tonight ... if not, tomorrow night

Those are some better names than I had. Smile 600 customs! Wow you've been at this a while. I've only just started, and I'd like to do the same thing. By having a corresponding mini for each stat card. So far the two closest I have to where I want them to be stat wise are My KRONOS-327 and Todo-360. I'm still working on the other ones. Once I have a couple more I'll start a Custom thread.

3D terrain is something I want to get into as well. ThumpUp Looking forward to your new stuff.

I’ve been playing with a few more ideas; what can I say ..... found some nice pics this weekend. Very liberating, working without the need to make a mini for the card …

Republic
My take on Boss Nass …..

Not all the Coruscant cops are droids ….

Sith
Some of those Sith troopers might be more useful with a lil help. While the Sith lords may not have cared abiut their troops surviving, I’m sure the Troopers themselves cared. Ever noticed Sith don’t worry about defense?

The Sith didn’t have a scout, so ....

Imperial
My take on another Dark Side Imp

Old Republic
I’ve been reading up on the Jedi Shadows .... supposedly the best of the best, and nasty for Jedi ….

Thought about making this guy a Fringe so others could use him; maybe an affinity for all things Republic?

New Republic

I’ve given/created engineers/sergeants for everybody else, so …..

Separatist

I was amused at the idea of somebody else handing out Roger Roger to the tinmen

Fringe

Parasitti … interesting but not as “good” as Bane so my takes not as strong as a top BH.

Liked the pic, not sure what TOR characters will be like ...

Again, liked the pic

Another couple TOR pics

Just thought another Gungan Fringe piece was needed ...

Squelch mentioned he had this one. Don’t know what he came up with, so … my take

Updates

I noticed the V-Sets had a Zann Underboss; I’d made a Zann Faction card and pieces to go with them a few years ago so I thought I’d show them now.

Zann Consortium

My Version of Zann himself

Zann’s lieutenants

I always thought a Defilers main job was to sow dissention and corruption, but short of Force Corruption, the closet I could find without creating something was Disruptive. I vaguely recall in the game they had Disrupters; I thought Disintegration would be more fun ……

Blowing up Ewoks ... someone in that company had an interestingly twisted mind ….

Sith

I liked the pic ….

Fringe

Saw the pic; loved it. Came up with the idea of a Hutt enforcer

Never liked the idea that the Heavy Weapon ability limited certain pieces that could have otherwise been interesting. With the Fringer leader piece I made this could really do some fun things with the Gotal Fringer, and the Klatooinian Hunter could be made more usable.

A lot of interesting stuff.

On the Czkera Arms Dealer, maybe instead of Weapons Upgrade you can call it Weapons Training and have the definition simply be "Allies with Heavy Weapon lose Heavy Weapon"

Thanks for the comment. The simplified definition I like; the "weapons Training?" Not sure how that would explain something heavy suddenly isn't. I originally called it Weapons Miniaturization. Changing the name doesn't bother me, but some rationale that makes sense ....
