In some situations, Lord Kaan can have more than 5 Force Points, through HoloSid or EKDFS. In this situation, if he is attacked and spends a force point on Illusion, but is subsequently defeated in that turn, will Thought Bomb still trigger? I'm assuming not, since he doesn't have any ability to spend force points more than once per turn, but I'm wondering if there's a change of situation since it's after he's defeated?

"Thought Bomb (Force 5, replaces turn or when this character is defeated: 80 damage to all living characters within 6 squares; save 11 to reduce damage to 40. Remove this character from play. This Force power cannot be canceled.)"

I'm a relatively recent player, so if there's any precedent I should know about, let me know :).

That's correct, if he uses Illusion, but is subsequently defeated on same turn, he can't use Force Points again to activate Thought Bomb. Just ask Sion, when he Ripostes, not expecting the killing crit.
