So, who plans on getting it & what are some things you've seen that you like and/or dislike?

I am definitely buying a copy, but I am more interested to see what happens to Soap & Captain Price. My guess is that Price will die at some point going out in a blazee of glory.

I am also interested in the "point streak" system they are doing. For those who don't know, point streaks work exactly like kill streaks, but you don't need to get kills to earn them. You get points for capturing flags or domination points.

Activision and Infinity Ward wanted to reward the people that played the objectives and not just the ones who rack up lots of kills.

I am not, however, liking this new "kill confirmed" bit. I don't know all the details, but you won't get full points for killing an enemy unless you or a team mate collects the dog tags that are dropped. That's about all I know and would like it for anyone to share what information they have.

So please leave what comments you have, and stay frosty! Cheers!

Sincerely,
Jester007

Kill Confirmed is only a specific game type, I believe. I was worried about that as well, but I don't think it'll come into effect in regular matches, or at least won't mean you won't get all the points.

I'll probably get it for my birthday (11/23), since it comes out 3 days before Skyrim, and I don't want any of my games taking away from Skyrim playing time, lol. From what I've seen, the single player looks great, but the multiplayer I'm not too psyched about. Quick-scoping is back, and sniper rifles are secondary weapons apparently. That means that when you chance upon a sniper camping, and on the off-chance he doesn't quick-scope you, he'll just pull out an Assault Rifle and gun you down! I dunno, I'll postpone judgment until it actually comes out.

So I've had the chance to play a few games, and I am a little steamed from the damage that they gave the weapons. The M16 is a piece of crap. I hit someone 4 times with it and it didn't drop them.

I am most upset at Activision for outright lying to us on some things they claimed. They said they got rid of Last Stand (not true) and that they were making all air support lessened to make the game more into a gun game. That couldn't be any further from the truth. They, in fact, made air support even more powerful by adding in some ridiculous point streaks. Take the reaper for example; this is basically a drone that gives you the firepower of multiple laser-guided missiles. I got to use this "little" guy and took out 10 people with it in the time I used it.

Then there's the Strafe Run where 5 helicopters come in and shoot up some stuff. I don't mind the strafe, but its when they stay around is where I have my objection.

Finally there's Call of Duty Elite.... yeah. You'd figure that Activision would have everything up and running prior to one of its most massive released games in its history. Apparently that was asking too much from them. As of 9 November, midnight, the server was not available. People have paid their money in order to use what Activision has said to be one of its greatest ideas, and they currently cannot access it. Way to go..... If that problem isn't remedied soon, Activision should refund the money to those who have already paid and give them a free years subscription.

Anyways, I wanna hear from you all who play and get some feedback on what you think of the game. I didn't mean to rant and rave, but I did want to point some things out that I found disturbing about the way things are being handled with the game. Until next time, stay frosty marines. Cheers!

Sincerely,

I'm enjoying myself, my only issues are about the Elite servic, but thats understandable when you have hundrends upon hunrends tring to use it all at once and right now,it's jsut a matter of me getting that founder status, which from what they said on tiwtter can take up to 48hrs

My otherissue is iwth the DEWXP hasn't showen up yet,but from what they said on twitter, they are fixing it,

I also thought the storyline was a bit short too

Well, one thing I do like about this game is how your kill streak resets after you've earned all three. In a couple of games now I have earned multiple UAVs, predator missiles and attack choppers in a single life. Kind of gives some incentive to stay alive as long as you can.

I do like how most of the sniper rifles drop people in one shot (provided you hit center mass). I was extremely ticked at how I could get multiple hits in Black Ops and nothing would happen. I am not, however, fond of them keeping Quick Scoping around.

Anyone have a particular Strike Package they prefer? I kinda like the Specialist. Turning into a super soldier is pretty cool.

Quite a few more people die in MW3. One I was very bitterly angry about, but I won't spoil it for those who haven't played through the story yet.

I have had a bit better multiplayer time since they came out w/ a recent patch. I'm still scratching my head at some of the damage the weapons are doing. For instance, the FAD (a new AR) shoots really really fast, but does crap for damage, where the SCAR is the opposite. Yet I've put 4-5 shots into someone w/ the SCAR & they live. But I get dropped after 2-3 shots from a FAD.

I'm still mad that they kept quick-acoping around, but I like a lot of the weapons they have available.

Sincerely,
Jester007

Just reviving this topic to see if people have different opinions about this game after two months. I myself play it about every day and I enjoy it for the most part. Not perfect in my mind, but I enjoy modern weapons more than Nam era ones. And curious if anyone else got the first drop pack for the elite stuff. I like the new maps, but yeah wanted to hear other people's opinions.

I got tired of the glitches and server issues in COD, so I switched to the Battlefield series.
