So I can't quite figure out the hype over this yoda. I could see how he would be great at killing the low costing pieces and commanders but don't the twin attacking big point pieces just kill him? Running in for one hit and then taking a twin AOO seems bad? What is the secret to success with this guy?

Deep strike, fodder clearing, and hit and run. In addition to clearing out lots of fodder, he can hit one small thing and get back to safety in one turn by moving 20 (or 26 with Master Speed). With that speed he can also get in the back to a key commander. If he only moves 16, he can attack that commander with both Galloping Attack and his regular attack. With General Skywalker around, he can do both of those attacks with Momentum (provided he stops next to the commander and doesn't keep moving). Against the big beatsticks (melee or shooty), he's not that great, but he generally has enough HP to last long enough to cause major damage even if the big beatstick has his number eventually.

I'm mainly seconding what FlyingArrow said. Yobuck is pretty impotent if your meta is playing 4 activation big beatstick squads. He's more of a pocket knife than a sledgehammer - his main role is taking out little 10 HP pieces and the commanders. Once you have an activation advantage, you can then control the game, and use your other attackers to finish off pieces.

He is pretty devastating with General Skywalker though - he can run 16 squares with a force point, and slam a piece for 60 damage, then Panaka can swap him out for a Rodian Brute so that he doesn't take any damage in return.

I did not realize he can use galloping attack and his regular attack. When it states that "this character cannot attack any enemy twice" is that restriction just for galloping attack? So can he run up and hit someone using galloping attack stop with out provoking an AOO and then attack him with his regular attack?

Correct - he cannot use Galloping Attack against the same character more than once by running back and forth next to them, but he can use both Galloping Attack and his regular attack. Of course, he can't use his regular attack at all if he moves more than his Speed (or Speed+6 with Master Speed).

That's right; the restriction on attacking something twice only applies to his galloping attack. He can hit someone as part of his galloping attack, then again as his regular attack, without provoking an opportunity, as long as he doesn't move out of a square adjacent to the character he is attacking.

I pretty much grabbed this from Rukh's post on the thread I referenced in the next paragraph, but in summary, Yoda on Kybuck can either:
BlooMilk Double attack
BlooMilk Attack, then move 10, galloping enemies along the way (16 with Master Speed)
BlooMilk Move 10, galloping enemies along the way (16 with Master Speed), then make an attack
BlooMilk Move 20 (26 with Master speed) galloping enemies along the way without making a normal attack

There's lots of threads about Yobuck's movement, as well as his interactions with Commander Ahsoka and General Skywalker, which you'll probably want to know about next! - http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=7054 is a good one to read if you want to find out more.

I wasn't to hot on him either, until he was properly explained.

My favorite use is have yoda go all kybuck in there face,
leave him based against a major opponents piece,
then do the ol' swap-a-roo with panacka
to bring in NEWindu(R&R) to quote Ezekiel 25-17, before wasting his punk @$$.

gotta love sam jackson!ThumpUp
