which kyle is the kyle to get. It seems to me combat instructor is the best for his cost but bloo milk rating seems to suggest battlemaster is better. I want to get one and I want to get the one that fits into more squads. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think battle master is a great beat stik,and combat instructor is a great support piece.
however I don't use either one very often.

Just depends on what you want to do. I like having Battlemaster Kyle if I can afford the points, but if you're running short on points the other Kyle is a nice alternative.
Combat Instructor has certain things that make him more appealing:
-MOTF 2
-Renewal
-Gives a CE to all allies
-8 points cheaper (heck, that's an R7, a wicket or a couple of uggies)
Even though he is more expensive, Battlemaster Kyle has his advantages:
-He's a follower and can get Evade and Mobile from Wedge, and also benefit from more CEs
-He has Triple Attack
-Grenades 40
-LS Assault
When you decide to use Kyle, you have to make a call if you want to build a squad around him (in which case you should go with Battlemaster), or if you want him as a tough support/interference piece (then go for Combat Instructor)

KBM has more options and is less likely to get shot to pieces due to access to Evade.

Personally, I think the original has the nicest sculpt but that doesn't help when it comes to play. Between the other two each has its uses as the others have described. When it comes to aquiring one the Combat Instructor should be much easier to get as it is only a rare from a more recent set.
