Since I came into the game well after WotC shut the line down, all the boosters are either super cheap (the Target blowout) or hideously expensive (150 bucks for a Champions of the Force on Buy.com). So I have no idea what a booster originally went for. Say, Clone Strike - what did that cost per booster when it first came out.

Rebel Storm started out at $9.99. I can't remember the exact price jumps, but I'm certain boosters were $11.99 by the time of COTF.

After Rebel Storm and until Legacy of the Force (I think) they were around $11.99. Then I think with Legacy they jumped to $14.99, but I'm not too sure. By Clone Wars they were definitely $14.99 though. I'm more certain that the huge packs (Universe) started at $19.99 and then jumped up to $21.99 when The Force Unleashed came out.

Okay, that's not too bad then - I found a stash of Rebel Storm for 14 bucks a booster and was considering picking up a handful for Christmas. I was just wondering where the original baseline was, if this was a screaming deal or not. A couple of bucks more than original retail doesn't bug me (considering the state of the game).

rebel storm was 11.99 or 12.99 depending where you were buying it. And thats how I remember it for a very long time.

IMO rebel storm isn't worth $14 all the pieces except Gen Veers have been left in the dust by power creep/leap. you can get rebel storms you want for less than $2 each.

Wait - I said Rebel Storm? Whoops - I meant Clone Strike! Now admittedly Clone Strike is probably just as outdated, but it's also the set that I have the least of. Sure the figures may be obsolete, but I still need those bits of plastic anyway.

Rebel Storm to RotS sets were $10 USD~, Universe was $20~, Bounty Hunters was $25-45 CotF-Legacy were about $15-20 and the more recent sets were consistently $19.99 down under. Some laughable ripoff merchants added 5-20% markup on top of this. It worked out consistently more cost effective to either buy by the case or collect singles. The price guides were from the time of release, though now sealed cases can go for 1.5-3 times their original value. Hope this helps

I used to love buying buy the case as I'm sure many of you guys did. I was so happy when Champions came out. I bought 4 cases from one of the online stores and paid an average of $6.99 a case. It was after Rebel Storm that I figured, being a completionist, I was going to go broke buying by the pack
