A quick question to some of the more veteran customisers here...

I need to create a Jedi for an RPG scenario according to my friend's requests...

He needs to be in Jedi robes (or thereabouts) and have a right handed (key) blue lightsaber.

Now because I'm lazy I was looking at what I could find in the existing models, but the closest are the Jedi Watchman, who looks odd and has a crazy pose, and the Sith Hunter, who looks like Bon Jovi.

The closest other two are either Obi Padawan (but I'd have to buy him and he is mad costly) or the Obi Unleashed, who has a green saber (annoyingly). My question is, is is easy to paint over the lightsaber colour to change it? Our would I need to cut the thing off and stick a new blade there, which I don't really want to do...

It has to be a human, I assume?

Two ways you could go about it. First is to replace the hands rather than just the blade. That should be a bit easier.
The other is to change the blade color by mixing up a light wash (slightly more water than paint). I've tried that twice before, and it's passible.

As ARC said, its much easier to cut the hand rather than a blade. Ultimetly, it depends how lazy/how picky you are. The easiest thing to do if you really don't want to cut/superglue is to just paint a blade. It won't be translucent like a "real" lightsaber, but how picky are you?

There are ways to cut/add lightsabers, apply paint or washes (I tried Sharpies in clear lightsabers with mixed results) but sounds like you want a quick/lazy conversion, so ....

A) Go with a Jedi Consular or Jedi Knight piece for a body and cut a Jedi Guardian (CotF) or Young Jedi Knight hand or
B) Cut a head off a Jedi Padawan & swap it for what your guy looks like and paint the robes to look like you want.

Either will take less than five minutes
