Suppose Joruus and an allied follower are outside the range of a character with Disruptive.
Joruus activates, takes his turn, and at the end grants a free turn to his follower. If the follower uses his turn to move into range of the Disruptive character, does the follower still die?
My guess would be that the follower doesn't die, since when it comes time to apply that step he's in range of Disruptive and Joruus' commander effect stops working. Just wanted to be sure...

The follower would still be defeated.
The reason is that the effect of the CE is applied at the beginning of the character's turn and lasts for the full duration, not at the end of the turn. Moving into disruptive range would not cause the effect to be negated.

I asked this question in a slightly different way (See Ysalimiri/ ABM interaction on page 3 of the rules threads) and Sithborg's answer concurs with Emperor Dragon's. One more reason to trust that these rules gurus know their stuff...thanks, guys.

@Darth Jim: Thanks for that citation, it appears to be exactly the same situation. : )
