War Throat says "10 damage to each character within 6 squares." Since it doesn't say "other characters", and a character's distance to itself is 0, I interpret this to mean that Momaw Nadon takes 10 damage as well when using this special ability. Is that correct?

No. It can get really tricky, but generally, these area of effect abilities don't hurt themselves.

Ok. I was just comparing it to the Force Burst wording, which says "other". But, yeah, Force Repulse doesn't say "other" and it works the same way. Thanks for the quick response.
