Sunday’s event saw us being exiled to the old store which was basically a heated & powered open space do to the Yu-Gi-Oh tourney that was going on next door. Given the 200+ young adults and the CO2 that was being produced we made out on that deal with peace and quiet.
There were some very clever & competitive matches during the course of the afternoon and we were introduced to a new Sith Force power which was used against me personally in my final swiss match against Darth Malus. Duly dubbed Sith Confusion, I completely imploded with less than three minutes on the clock and at the time was comfortably up on points, “alas poor Storm Commando, I knew him General Weir.” "Rakghoul?!?" "Where?!?!?"
However in the end dueling GOWK, Mace Critdu & Foul squads duked it out for the Maul FX. We were treated to a truly epic battle which I will leave to the players to recant; with thereisnotry earning the final victory and with no character pieces remaining on the board.
The field saw (11) players, with the following faction mix…
(1) Old Republic (1) Sith (1) Vong (1) Mandalorian (1) Separatist (4) Republic (1) Imperial (1) New Republic
The Squads….

Congrats to the Trev, wow what a match. I am interested to see how Dean (Mandos) did, what squads he faced and who he lost and won against. Hope to see you guys again.

Dean went 1-1 in Swiss play with a bye round; 3 point victory over Ian and a loss to my Imperials in a gritty match.

Chris In the semis he went against me and lost, but I only got a 2 point win and he was able to take out Foul and Mace. I basically made Mace his only target for a few rounds, counting on the fact that he would need at least an 18 with his Scout to hit Mace, so I figured Mace would be pretty safe. Unfortunately for me when his Scouts did hit Mace was unable to reflect due to poor saving. It was a pretty efficient Mando squad, with some good damage potential, but he was lacking for door control since he only had an uggie.

i am trying to run 3 scouts with death shoot- gunsmith-r7- black opps- 4 mice (but im thinking 5) - crumb- uggie- its flexable depending on what squad i see such as using mando scientist for twin if i see ABM. Now for the kicker i have 35 points left and have used stuckuss. he will also have the deathshot. My son thinks he is a waste and wants another scout in there and gunslinger. Or do i go with 21 pt han for accurate shot. Or is the quartermaster the way to go to boost the good old "to hit" As is I have been real competive vs Lord Vader- Arica swap (not winning, but slugging it out) Please help.. I think this can be a challenging squad to face.

The issue your going to have is that the Mando Scientist has to stay within 6 of the Scout to give them their twin. I thought about going that way but preferred the DS/SD path as I can get 4 DWS for the price of two scouts.
