Finally, OT fans can rejoice because this set strives to do something not really ever done before - make the OT heroes the heart of the Rebel faction again. A Rebel squad should not start with Rieekan, Dodonna, Crix... it should start with, Han, Luke, Leia... etc. You can still start with Rieekan, Dodonna, Crix, if you want to, but you won't have to.

So it's not really a direct confirmation or anything, but it looks likely we're going to get new versions of at least some of Han, Luke, Leia, and Chewbacca in the Rebel faction.

I think we can assume Chewbacca in AT-ST

Really looking forward to number 4. I think it will be my favorite one... i'm a sucker for the OT.

Sounds like we're finally getting the Chewy in Walker. Wonder how it will be different than a normal walker (other than the severed fig popping out of the port hole). I imagine he'll have the standard bag of tricks and an ability like the jedi diplomats to avoid targeting until he attacks.

Really looking forward to the new han/luke/leia. Will really be nice to have incentive to play them again. I'd also like to get a new higher point lando (one that actually is worth his cost).

Shada Dukal (not sure about spelling)
Tonika sisters

Winner winner chicken dinner

I think the Tonnika Sisters would have been spoiled at that point, so... I'm guessing Talon Karrde Smile

Talon would be awesome. His current piece is way under rated, but I feel like they could have done him far more justice. I'm expecting big things from this set. Its so much easier to get excited when I recognize the names of the pieces Laugh

I thought I heard that there is also a vehicle set that will go along with this, in the mold of the Epic set.

If so, the Chewie AT-ST would be in that one I think.

I actually test played some of the characters mentioned on her. One of them which is pretty basically spoiled, but I cant/wont confirm because I don't wanna break any rules. Though its killing me not to say because he was REALLY fun to play and I think will bring alot of underused characters some game play. Really fun for rebels!

I hope that hes not an "Epic" like they were last time. As far as I know there's no official format for what was talked about '500 pt epic format' and I dont hear much about them getting play. There cool and all but I have used an epic character once vs my friend at that was a 10 min battle.

This is curious...

I imagine its a upgrade of the old one; but other then possibly HP and/or Att, not sure there is really anything wrong with the old. And realistically, the low HP and Att are also pretty much needed since otherwise they would multiply to the point where they become nearly unstoppable.

Or on the scary side, I guess they could remove savage and/or add blasters to um - but such Rakghouls can only exist if in range of the Muur Talisman. Rakghouls were possibly the ultimate mindless "smell flesh, eat flash" beings unless under its control. And from the Celeste conversation thread, we know that a Karness Muur isnt on its way, so this should be an impossibility for the piece.

I guess they could have a reverse CE like SA, allowing for loss of Savage and possibly Blasters if in a squad with Celeste (and/or future Muur) - but that goes back to just making Celeste proper in the first place or adding a complimentary Muur Spirit.

Maybe a slightly more powerful "Rakghoul Fiend" type piece could work, where it could even open up slight advantages for the regular ol' Rakghoul (like swarm or something) - but even small adjustments like that could risk the bred becoming fairly unstoppable; especially in a ridiculous squad like Celeste and Exar.

Yeah, sadly not actually looking forward to this one really. Might be cool, but I'm skeptical.

There are many new rack's in the OR game so it could be any one of those, and not every single character has to be 100% realistic. Just cuz a few racks couldn't exist w/o celest doesn't mean that works with game mechanics. I mean it makes more sense then evading blaster bolts on a potty...

Never played it - did they change what Rakghouls are/do?

Sweet - can I place my order for Mando Luke and Chewie, Lightsaber Expert now?

They all existed - but they were just brain dead zombies with a multiplying disease. (like we got)

Nefi: TORgoes back to Taris and you find Nekghouls. Let's just say that Raks evolve... Significantly

Oh, well that's depressing. Force Sensitive even? Unsure

That said, thanks for the info on it. Quite likely what the piece is then I imagine.

It's an MMORPG and you have to have different versions of the Raks to make it a challenge. There are poisonous rakghouls, irradiated rakghouls, newly infected troops (shooters have recently been infected), weapon using Rakghouls, and even giant Rakghouls. As much as having just a simple Rakghoul, you sometimes need a variety. After all, if someone decides to put in the game, hypothetically, "Mandalorian Rakghouls" that cost 1 less with Celeste Morne and gain Synergy (+4/+4), then Djinn is out of the bottle and not much you can do about it but enjoy the advancements in Rak Science.

I know you have a love for Celeste Morne (as do I. I thought she had a great story arc even if she had some Mary Sue in her.).

As to the subject at hand, would one be wrong to possibly guess that Krynda Draay would be in the next set due to the Covenant ability?

I wondered about that. Seems likely given the (I think) unprecedented move of naming characters that haven't been made yet on the latest set of cards.

And thanks for bringing it back to the topic. BlooMilk

Not really unprecedented unless you are counting Uniques as Uliq Qel-Droma had the ability to bring in Mandalorians and they were not released until the set after.

I think it would be more along the lines of why naming something when the next set won't contain it. Of course, considering Hondo Ohka and his accuracy to Pirates and only 2 pirates were created with one having accurate already.

I would be hopeful that Marn Heirogryph (We have virtually all the KotOR cast) and the last member of the Zann Consortium would also be joining the fray but that's mere speculation.
