All rules about "pushing" is found in the rulebook glossary.

ok, i read that but my problem is this, i could easily use force repulse and move a character in front of me all the way behind me without them ever coming closer to my character by moving them in a half circle around my character since repulse does not have a limit on number of squares moved, but is only restricted to a square exactly x away from my character. But I was told that this could not be done and I am wondering why if it fulfills all the requirements...
Example of what i am saying:

My character is 0 the opponent is 1

1

0 I Force Repulse 4, could he end up here:

0

No, push does not work like that.

When a character is pushed, each new square they move to on the chosen push path must be a further distance from the character pushing them than the one they are currently on.

So you can't use Push/Repulse to lob a guy to the other side of your character.

what about the interaction of thon with the new nomi, his force repulse would hit people six squares away and push them to five squares away meaning that they would move closer, unless of course you override the requirement for his force repulse and not move them at all i guess....?

In that situation, they would take the damage and make the activation save, but not move as they are already at the set distance.

This is covered in the Vengeance Mini FAQ.
