Last night I played against my friend. His method of choosing a squad is often to look at the recent squad list - squads from the last 24 hours - and play one that looks good.
It made me think, that while the squad builder is great, the methods of sifting through the best squads have become dated.
If you go to
http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/TopRated there's nothing there from post Gencon2010 - it's a good list of squads, - I think the top 11, all from 2010, all look very strong - but it doesn't take into account anything from the last 3 sets.
You can also sift through
http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/Ratings?pointLevel=200&votes=10 but there's still not that much recent stuff.
I think a lot of this is to do with a smaller play base since official production ended - the newer squads are often struggling to get enough ratings to get them on a list.
What I'd like to see, as one idea, is a list of squads that have done well in the 2012 Regionals so far, or something similar; I think it's a more objective way of viewing squads, and a good resource for players looking for a strong squad to play.
Anyone agree? Any other ideas?
(sorry if this should go in Bloomilk Suggestions instead)
