Are characters who are being levitated subject to mines rolls whenever they enter a space adjacent to a character with mines?

Yes, because Levitation is movement.

Follow up:
If I'm reading the FAQ correctly, one could deliberately "move" the Levitated character through multiple mines squares, even if it was possible to avoid them. Correct?

Generally though, you don't want to kill off your own piceces.
