I am curious how Bastila's Force ability interacts with Grand Admiral Thrawn's Ysalamiri; does the Ysalamiri prevent Bastilla's Force ability from effecting Imperial commander effects within 6 squares of the Grand Admiral? Looking up Force Immunity one would assume that characters within 6 squares of GAT even commander effects remain uneffected from Bastilla's Advanced Battle Meditation.

That is correct, commander effects are not suppressed inside the Ysalamiri "bubble".

What if the commander isn't in the bubble? I just want to make sure I'm understanding the interaction correctly. Does the follower have to be in the Ysalamiri bubble, the commander or both?

Must be in the bubble for CE to be in effect during ABM

If the commander is affected, then the Commander Effect is suppressed. So, both the commander and the follower need to have Force Immunity for the CE to be able to take effect.

It's just like how Disruptive works. If a character is affected, they can't benefit from CEs. If a commander is affected, their CE becomes inert.
