Lightsaber Assault & Extra Attack Options

In our most recent episode of Star Wars Miniverse (#51), Owen did a review of Marka Ragnos. In his review, he ran through the following scenario involving Marka and Darth Krayt:

Ragnos uses Lightsaber Assault but chooses not to move. He is within 6 of Krayt, who grants Extra Attack. He stated that Ragnos would end up getting 6 attacks (thanks to twin and standing still for extra attack). Sounded good to me!

However, a question came in regarding Assault. It says that it "replaces attacks". Because it replaces attacks, would Ragnos no longer benefit from Extra Attack?

They would not get Extra Attack as Lightsaber Assault replaces your attacks.
