counter push vs Strafe Options

So if someone strafes in a hallway and i counter push them back, thus ending their strafe, or can they even be moved back? Strafe says they can't enter a square they just left so I am wondering what would happen...

You cannot use Counter Push to move them into a space they had just left. If that's the only way they can be pushed, they do not move.

What happens if counter-push makes it so the strafer can no longer reach their safe landing zone - and in fact cannot land safely at all.
