I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand It's sad that The Maker is retiring.I'm wondering what that means for the Clone Wars. On the other hand, After reading the report, there is indication that she might be willing to Continue the Franchises into the future. Perhaps meaning more movies. One could only hope!BlooMilk

Ya, I kinda feel the same way. I was and am still not sure what to think. Hopefully the franchise will keep moving in the right direction. I get the feeling though that a lot of people will be happy that he's stepping down. I doubt this will effect the Clone Wars Series in a negative way. And yes!!! I sincerely hope this means more movies. Either Clone Wars Series style or real people/CGI style. Either way I'll be a happy camper! Woot

I was just happy to see it'll keep going.

Kennedy taking control certainly raises hopes that we may see more SW on the screen, large or small. I'd like to see more, certainly. My primary caveat is that whatever makes it to production must be in keeping with the feel of SW and is top quality.

Oh please please please PLEASE be in the style of the Clone Wars Series. That would but just awesome! Better voice acting, cool style of animation and they can really use their budget to make the Star Wars unioverse come a live. They could make episodes 7,8, and 9 in Clone Wars style and I'd be a very happy person. I hope they continue the Clone Wars TV show. Its getting really good, and there is so much more to tell.

I would be entertained more by the outrage at 7, 8, and 9 for superseding some of the books than the films themselves if they were cartoons. I like clone wars, but I just can't take it as seriously as a live action feature film. Grave crises don't seem to be so much so in the CGI cartoon.

@Squelchy,
Thanks for "passing on what you have learned" BigGrin
One can only imagine what shake ups this would have with certain prequel producers in lucasfilm...

George is 68, he has named 58 year old woman that he will stick around to "mentor for a few years". He has said no more Star Wars movies, even after he is dead. If he had named someone 10 to 20 years younger than her I would expect some big changes, but we won't see those until George's stupid kids take over and drive the whole franchise into the toilet.

When he's dead, he doesn't really get a vote anymore. Whoever own the rights will have his expressed wishes, and there's a good chance those wishes will be followed. But there's a lot of money to be made with more movies.

The video game trailers are awesome. Turn those into full length movies.

That old barve will probably live another 30 years so we'll have to wait a looong time.

Yep. The CGI sequences from the trailers and videogames far, far, far outshine anything from the Clone Wars series. I'd sure as heck have paid to see all the cinemas from the first Force Unleashed added onto and turned into a proper full length computer animation movie. And the old Republic too. Sigh... Crying

hey I just discovered a star wars easter egg of sorts Shinja hid in the code. I did not use the word barve in my above post, but it filtered to come out that way. Chalk it up to the power of Dengar.

The last thing I read Lucas to have said, couple of weeks ago, was that there will be no more Star Wars films that feature the orignal characters. The I read of his departure, makes me think he is making it possible for people to play in the universe, but must NEVER affect/go near/brush against/breath on the original time line.

Which original time line though? The one where Owen was Ben Ken-Obis' brother or the one where Boba Fett died in a big hole in the groundTongue

(As Star Wars fans, we are all aware at how changable Lucas can be)

CG films of Old Republic quality will keep my fix up!
