The Format:

you need three 175 pt. squad of the same fraction

a special map is matched to each of that squadS:Death Star (Rebel Storm Starter); Tatooine: Mos Eisley (Updated League Prize ONLY, Ultimate Missions: Rebel Storm version NOT tournament legal); Cloud City (Updated League Prize ONLY, Ultimate Missions: Rebel Storm version NOT tournament legal); Muunilist (Clone Strike Starter); Coruscant: Undercity Streets (Ultimate Missions: Clone Strike); Starship (Revenge of the Sith Starter); Invisible Hand (General Grievous's flagship)/Imperial Base (Ultimate Missions: Revenge of the Sith) (New Starter Set); Yavin 4: Jedi Praxeum (Attack on Endor); Rancor Cave (Attack on Endor); Ruined Base (Attack on Endor)

A unique character can be in only one of that squads (so no lukes snowspeeder and luke rebel commando in another squad)

never more that 20 characters (incl. reinforcements and reserves)

max 5 characters with 5 pt. or less

no V-Sets

before the the start of the game you can chose a squad of the opponent ,that you do not want to face. Player can chose of the 2 remaining squads.

In Germany championships are a little different. Can't wait to see the results.

Am I reading this wrong? You can only use up to 5 characters, each 5 points worth or less?

I assume you can only use a maximum of 5 cheap filler characters of 5 points or less. I assume this is mainly to stop tactics like walls of Mouse Droids.

The restriction is 5 figurines with a cost strictly minus 5 pt.
Thus you could have a lot of stormtrooper, but not a swarm of battle droid or ewoks (but with a limitation to 20 figs max, it's difficult to play a swarm team).

This format is good for brainstorming in order to find 3 "good" teams....

See you in Cologne...
