What is your favorite piece that might not be so great in the long run?

Personally I have always had a soft spot for the original Shaak Ti. I pulled her in one of my first boosters, I love the sculpt, and I like the character. I used to put her in a bunch of different Republic squads hoping to get her to work well and my friend would always ask WHY I included her. I just always liked her.

And honestly with a few of the new pieces (no spoilers) I'm thinking of new ways to play her.

Darth Tyranus is my favorite little buddy. Use to win tournaments with him, a bodyguard droid, and a destroyer droid. Right EmporerDragon? ThumpUp

I still try to include him to this day but he is so dated now...

One of my favourites is Kit Fisto, Jedi Master. I love him. Paired with GOWK, he is almost untouchable. But he has such little damage output for his cost as of yet. Also, his sculpt is AWESOME.

The entire Old Republic faction (and most era-specific Fringe), WotC era.

Tyranous LOTDS. Such an awesome piece. Unfortunately, in a game dominated by mobile shooters, he just doesn't last long.

Yeah, a shame that a piece that represents the pinnacle of such a powerful character can be completely murdered by a couple of IG-86s.

Darth Nihilus: one of my favorite pieces. I used him and Bane to good use. Nihilus would steal FPS and bane would Sith Sorcery. I hope a new one is made soon. Having Darth Mittens on the sidelines when using Sith isn't fair.

Ewok swarm with Ithorian Commander and Han in STA.

I am starting to think that 100 point games might be interesting again. All these new V set pieces must have changed the game a lot.

100 point games are super easy to finish in 40 min. Fewer characters means more turns.

I really like Luke Skywalker, LotLS. He has a great bag of tricks, Accurate being superb, but his sculpt is 15 degrees off cool and he doesn't seem to add up to his cost.

Grievous's Wheelbike, 30 damage ranged 18 square wheeled attack made this guy rock back in the day, sadly even twin and +3/+3 can't make him good, just ok. But still what fun! Hope for remake in vehicle set. Oh and on this list as well, ALL the Sep huges.

That is a good one! I like Luke LotLS, but yeah his sculpt stinks, and he just isn't quite worth his points but I always almost play him. He has been in preliminary versions of about 6 of my last Rebel squads and is always cut.

The original boba fett....that guy used to singlehandedly win tournaments and was about the beefiest shooter you could get....I honestly don't find Boba Fett, Bounty Hunter to be that agreeable....though my favorite Boba would probably be Enforcer IF they hadn't forgotten to give him flight.

The rebelstorm boba by far had the best sculpt.

ARC troopers used to be killer as well, seeing two or three of them on the other side of the board was always bad for morale....

One of my favorites though has to be Maris Brood, I just wish I could do an effective theme squad with her and shaak ti, jedi master

I remember those ARC Trooper days, when a 40 HP non-unique dealing 20 dmg was just boss.

As for the topic of the thread, I'm gonna go with Obi on Boga. Man, I used to love using that piece. He was one of the few huges that was actually usable.

My vote has to be for one of my all time favs Hanny Rogue. What a great bag of tricks he has compared to Smuggler. The trick is to get him Twin somehow and then he's a must have in any Rebel build. IMO

Haha, I remember those things going for more than most rares at one point in time. They were cheap, powerful, durable, it was great. Now they drop like flies and can't deal enough damage to be competitive.

Another great one from the olden days has to be CS yoda! Re-roll failed saves, good damage output (well, use to be...), and good defense ^^

Grievous wheelbike is a good one, but i have to go with the COrporate alliance tank droid. WIth all of the support for droids with them they can pack quite a wallop. Triple (Grievous Scourge), Twin, + 15 attack, 18 defense without cover, for 40 damage. The only problem was that it was huge so it was hard to manuver.

Duros Mercenary and Darth Maul on Speeder.

I've always used Duros Mercenary. He's only 6 points and has a 6 attack. More, I love that sculpt. Awesome ready for action pose.

Darth Maul on Speeder is probably my top favorite of all the Mauls sculpt-wise. If only his stats matched up to his oh so cool appearance.

Junos Eclipse, Obi Unleashed, and 2-IB. TFU had a bunch of under-costed characters; the Rebels getting most of them (Luke HPU, VAR, etc....).

Junos Eclipse: Quite frankly; I always wonder why she isn't in most rebel squads. For 8 points, you get Accurate Shot and 40 HP...AND Disruptive. Can't get much better than that. (The only thing that bothers me is why the heck she doesn't have Pilot). Her sculpt is pretty bad though. In an undershirt and hands in pockets....really?

Obi Unleashed: The only old-man Kenobi with Renewal (I think; I don't know about the V-Sets). Awesome pose; mid-range cost, and a ton of cool Force Abilities. Force Repulse 3 coupled with Renewal is pretty awesome. And who doesn't like Obi with a green lightsaber instead of his signature blue one?

2-IB: For 17 points, you probably get the best healer on the market. Heal 30 + Emergency Life Support can mean life or death (pun intended) for your squad or a beatstick face off.

Warmaster. This guy has never been good, but I still pull him out almost every time I play vong. I still feel that this game peaked around Universe.
