I keep hearing about tile wars and Ive looked everywhere for what tile wars is and i cant find anything. Can someone help me out plz?

You play the skirmish on two terrain tiles instead of a map. Think steel cage match.

In brief, each side picks a 5x7 tile (like the ones from the early starter sets or the tile packs from mapsofmastery.com), you put those two tiles adjacent to each other, and then you fight.
