I tried visiting the-holocron.com, but my browser said it could not find the server. I proceeded to do a Google search on the website and did not receive the website as one of the results. Did the-holocron.com get shut down or something and, if so, how long ago did it happen? That was an amazing SWM resource site that I used frequently. Does anybody know what happened to all the information that was on that site? It would be an awful pity if all of it has simply disappeared.

Yes, it closed up shop a month or so ago; you can find stuff on Gamers and a kind soul has started a new place at http://www.swmresources.com/that has been accumulating things slowly but surely. Cheers

My guess is a large lack of interest in the site as the SWM community continues to wither, which makes renewing hosting fees and the like unappealing.

Their server went out of business and the way it was set up migrating everything to a new site would have been a huge job.

The man who owned the site kept it running for the sake of the community even though he quit playing the game nearly a decade ago.

I'm running www.SWMResources.com now, and I have access to everything (yes, EVERYTHING) that was on The Holocron. The FAQ is already up there and exactly as it was on The Holocron, but I haven't put up the map analysis article since it's pretty out of date at this point. I would be happy to add it if people would like, but I'd prefer to get a new one written with current maps and analysis. In fact, if there is anything from The Holocron that you would like on SWMResources, lemme know and I'll be happy to make a section just for old stuff from there. I haven't already done this myself just because there is a TON of stuff to go through and I'm not sure what people really want to see. So let me know what there is a demand for and it will get done.
