http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/119981/stap-on-it--aniAni's base attack was too low for me, so I added in Yularen to increase attack as well as damage with those twin attacks while strafing, then the Clone Speeder can come in and mop up what's left. A deep-strike squad that works best near the end of rounds sort of defeats the purpose of a deep-strike squad, but I think this could work rather well. Instead of Yularen, I considered using Tarfful (since Ani would be adjacent for all Strafe attacks, he would have +11 instead of +7, giving him a much better chance of actually hitting anything). However, Yularen does help with the rest of the squad in a way that Tarfful doesn't (though to be fair, I did build the remainder of the squad after Ani, Clone Speeder, and the Commanders more or less around Yularen). So, other than overall opinions, Yularen or Tarfful for the squad, and potential changes if I were to swap for Tarfful?

Why have Mas Amedda? Neither of the commander effects are limited.
Or am I reading something wrong?

Or am I reading something wrong? Ah, thank you for pointing that out. I initially was using Tarfful instead of Yularen, and the former's CE was limited to 6 squares, so I needed Mas. I will have to fix that. EDIT: Squad updated. Removed Jax, Mas, and some other minor figures for 2 ARC Trooper Snipers and an R7.

I just found out that AniSTAP doesn't have melee attack. I never realized that.

I use Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Trainer in a similar squad to help out Ani's attack.
