I have the VASSAL-3.1.19.app on my desktop, and inside a folder, I have SWMinis_ext and SWMinis(2).vmod. For some reason, when I open VASSAL and play it, I can't see any virtual sets. What am I doing wrong?
I am using a Mac OS X 10.4.8 if that helps.

You should have a file named Virtual Sets.mdx in the SWM_ext folder.

(That vmod file is the main SWM module)

Download the extension here: http://www.swmresources.com/downloads/VASSAL/Virtual%20Sets.rar

The file is compressed in RAR format, so you may need to download WinZip, 7-Zip or a similar utility to extract it.

Does creating an archive of it work? I did by right clicking on the Virtual Sets.mdx and it gave me Virtual Sets.mdx.zip. Unfortunately I still don't have the virtual sets showing up.

No, just need Virtual Sets.mdx (extracted from the .rar)

I thought Vassal automatically picked up the extension if it is in a correctly named folder, but try this:

Right click the SWM Module in the Vassal window and choose "add extension", then browse to the .mdx file.

Your welcome :)

Sometime in the near future there will be an updated extension with V-Set 4 stuff, at which point I think you'll only need to copy the new file over that one. (assuming file name doesn't change)
