I just noticed that the new V-set Jabba doesn't have melee attack. I'm just wondering whether he's supposed to have it or not.

Hahaha. I didn't notice that. I think that was a big oops on the part of whoever made the cards. I can't imagine the V-Set team would create a non-melee Jabba.

Maybe it's errata, but if it's not it could easliy be abstracted to - Jabba tells some unseen grunt to shoot.

What did the smuggler do? Jabba wouldn't take his IOU.

He's got emplacement, so he couldn't move!BigGrin
Um, one more question... does trap door affect himself (take 10 damage, not move) if he's adjacent to someone he used trap door on?Huh

I wonder how he'd take damage, though... maybe the enemy grabs his tail before he falls down? Huh

I'm pretty sure characters with a base damage of 0 can't benefit from things like Cunning or Opportunist; all characters with a base damage of 0 don't have Melee Attack but aren't assumed to not have it either. In other words, they can't attack in the standard sense of the term to begin with. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the way I understood it.

And you'd be wrong about that one. You'd be surprised how you can pump up a Bacta Tank into an insane killing machine if you stack enough CE's on it.

He can be affected by CE's that affect allies or characters to give him damage and attack. Did it with diplomats all the time. Only if the stats are dashes are you not allowed to boost.

If the card doesn't say melee attack, the character doesn't have it. (well, the Huntress can gain it)

Zero damage can benefit from bonuses like Cunning/Opportunist and use them to deal damage. There are some boosts that zero damage characters can't benefit from, such as the +10 damage from Roger Roger and Advanced Battle Meditation which specifically state they only apply to characters with a base damage of 10 or more.

edit: ninja'd ;)

Might as well call those the Mouse Droid non-errata errata. They are there specifically so that Mouse Droids can't attack. Mouse Droids should have had dashes in the first place.

For that matter, so should Bacta Tanks... even worse than a mouse in a true SW universe sense to me (a handy tech could probably rig a mouse droid with a small blaster, and yes, I know there's much in this game that has no connection to the true SW universe; but still... Smile

Yeah - but it's not a matter of sensibilities but a matter of not breaking the game. 75 mice boosted by 50 points of CEs would not be a good thing.

75 Geonosian Drones isn't good either, but there they all have Self-Destruct, so it would be all but impossible to spread them out enough to avoid a massive chain reaction.
