Hat Toss question. When we make save is it just for activation (so it has the autodamage), or is it for damage and activation. I know that it is worded the same like Split Poison, but I haven't played against it for a looong time.

I believe the key word in the ability is "and." Thereby making the save for HT only vs being activated.

Yep, "and" ties the effects together, so the save is for both.
