I'm just curious, from a a proxy/custom perspective, how do west end miniatures compair to WOTC in size? are they roughly the same size, or smaller/bigger?

I know its sort of hard to say. WOTC was really bad at keeping things on scale (DarkHelmet, Legacy of the force, and the two Zuckuses for example), but relatively speaking?

I just compared a Luke, Leah, and Vader figure I have from WEG to the WOTC counterpart. They are very close, perhaps just a bit smaller (somewhere between 90% and 100% the same depending on the figure).

I'd say most of the West End pieces are at about chest level with their WOTC counterparts. I think they are just a little too small in my humble opinion.

Hrm... i'm specifically looking for ewoks. I found that Teek from the star wars disney collection was the same size as a standard ewok, but then when I bought Deej from the same set he turned out to be massive, as in, he could take vader in a a jello wrestling contest.

They sell a 3 pack of ewoks that could be useful, but i'm worried that they are going to be dwarfed by the standard ewoks. 90% isn't bad at all... but 50% is a little bit of a stretch for me.

just a thought......ewoks come in a variety of sizes. so from a certain point of veiw, size does not matter.

maybe some goblins, dwarves, gnomes & stuff could be altered to make an ewok(s)

WEG only made 2 Ewoks Logary and Wicket. The three pack comes with Logray and 2 Wickets.

True WEG are small compared to WotC minis. The average Weg fig is about the height of an Uggie Demo. If your not too picky about small scale probably Galoob Micromachines could be another option.

I have a few of them (none ewoks) and if memory serves than they are slightly saller than the average star wars minis scale. Not out of the question but noticably smaller at first glance.

Momirfarooq addressed this very issue pretty well in an article on his website. He even has a photograph with miniatures from each of the different Star Wars lines standing next to each other for scale comparison.
