Ok, lots of questions about evade...
Can a character evade missiles or grenades? Or can you not evade because those REPLACE attacks? Or can you evade because they are SPECIAL attacks?
How about v poison dart, text says range 6, replaces turn... 40 dmg save 11. No indication from that that it replaces attacks.. or how about exploding pistols, can the damage from those be evaded?
If I use DVU with lightsaber throw, sight is the restriction, am I making a melee attack? Can it be parried? Can djem so be used against it... from across the board? If it is ranged can it be evaded?
Lol, I picked up this game in college with buddies but we never played in a tourney so these may be obvious rules.
Thanks for the help.

Evade can only be used against a non-adjacent attack. There are some abilities that grant attacks, even though they replace turn or attacks. If there is no attack roll, it is not an attack.
Lightsaber Throw allows the character to make non-melee attacks.

Grenades, Missiles, Poison Dart, Exploding Pistols: not attacks. Cannot be evaded.
Lightsaber Throw: generates non-melee attacks. Can be evaded if the attacker is not adjacent. Cannot be parried. Djem So cannot be used.
Lightsaber Assault: generates attacks. Must be adjacent to use it. If the attacker has Melee Attack, the attack is a Melee Attack. If the attacker does not have Melee Attack, the attack is a non-melee attack. (That last part makes no sense conceptually, but that's the rule.)
