If I have a Kel-Dor Bounty Hunter with 10 hp left and it's adjacent to a Sith Recruit and I decide to use the Sith Recruit's Sith Pawn ability to reroll the Kel-Dor's attack I still get to do the attack before explosions happen due to self-destruct right?

I believe they are simultaneous events, this you choose which occurs first but I could be wrong.

Actually, you would have to resolve the Sith Pawn's defeat before the reroll. You have to resolve the "cost" of the ability before you gain the benefit.

So basically the defeat of the Recruit is immediate? And it's independent of the defeat check of the target? (this is what hung me up).
So in this case the Recruit's self destruct is triggered by Sith Pawn thus triggering the Kel-dor's self destruct?
