Thanks for setting this up!

For those planning regional dates - here's some (major) holidays to remember:

March 17 Sunday St. Patrick's Day 2013
March 31 Sunday Easter 2013
May 5 Sunday Cinco de Mayo 2013
May 12 Sunday Mother's Day 2013
May 27 Monday Memorial Day 2013
June 16 Sunday Father's Day 2013
July 4 Thursday Independence Day 2013 (Awkward day for it to fall on. Will people celebrate the weekend
before or 2 days later on Saturday?)

Note: it's not that you can't schedule a regional on/near one of these, but I tend to find that any conceivable conflict will upset somebody, and possibly effect numbers.

I would love it if a Sunday regional could be realistic, but I recognize that I am a goat in a world full of sheep - and the sheep declare Saturdays to be the only day to get reasonable turnout.

So that leaves these dates:

April 6 Eastern MICHIGAN + ???
April 13
April 20
April 27 PENNSYLVANIA/MARYLAND + ???
May 4 (Cinco de Mayo is the next day, probably won't effect much)
May 11 (Mother's Day is the next day)
May 18 CHICAGO + CHARLOTTE+ ???
May 25 (Memorial Day Weekend)
June 1 Western NEW YORK + Southern CALIFORNIA???
June 8 North Central INDIANA + ???
June 15 (Fathers Day the day before)
June 22 AKRO-CON (Including the North East OHIO Regional) + ???
June 29 Southern WISCONSIN + ???
July 6 VASSAL REGIONAL + ???
July 13
July 20
July 27 (probably the latest we could realistically have a regional)

We have always tried our best in the past to not have close geographic locations (less than 4 hours drive) on the same date. We do the best we can. But it's totally fine to have regionals hundreds of miles apart on the same day.

As of now only 6 Regionals are scheduled (plus the Vassal one TBA sometime in July)

This is weak.

Let's get some more Regionals set, folks!

I'd love to see another DE regional, if the last one was any indication we have enough players willing to make the drive, even if they don't live in DE. (Plus, I missed the first one! Tongue )

I missed the last one and I'd be willing to drive out from PA. ( Somehow I always manage to miss every regional near me for some odd coincedence...)

I just want to encourage more Regionals to happen this year. So far it looks like onlt the Midwest plays minis anymore (plus WNY, and MD/PA).

Right now we have far less Regionals scheduled than ever before.

I'm shocked to see no Regional scheduled ANYWHERE south of the Mason Dixon Line.

Where are you at Atlanta? For that matter, where is TN? KY? N Carolina? Virginia?

Anything out west? Portland? Washington? Cali? Colorado?

How about Canada?

There have even been more in the NE before. Where's NJ? Where's Deleware?

Texas? Missouri?

Danville, IL - Do you guys still play?

Let's do this everyone! Let's make it happen! :)

It looks like May 18th is the Charlotte Regional.

We're up to 8 scheduled now, plus 1 for Vassal. Atlanta is expected to be announced soon.

Any other possibilities?

I know there is already a Wisconsin Reigonal scheduled, but I am unable to make it so is it possible I could organize a 2nd one and have it be some sort of conjoined Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin Reigonal?

"And California will answer. Muster the Jedi Council. Assemble the army in the South Bay. As many Jedi as can be found. You have 67 days. On the 68th, we fly for Huntington Beach...and Regional competition. Long live SWM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Went ahead and made a thread for the Atlanta regional here, so you can change the link to that one if you'd like.

Delaware is done. You could add it for completeness.

After GenCon I'll make a finalized regional season thread (with results, turnout, etc)

Unless someone else wants to do it - by all means go ahead.
