Rapport + Affinity Options

I want to make sure the squad builder is handling this correctly. Queen Amidala's Rapport says "Non-Unique Republic followers cost 1 less when in the same squad as this character".

Would a Gray Jedi (who is New Republic normally, but has Affinity for Republic and is considered a Republic character when in a Republic squad) benefit from her Rapport?

Yes. This is different than some upcoming interactions, because both Affinity and Rapport affect squadbuilding.
