Eternal Sith Spirit is a great ability, as it gives out a good defense ability, and essentially MOTF2 to a unit. However, its limited in that the only piece with Eternal Sith Spirit has only 4 Force points. I was wondering if Marka Ragnos, Dark Force Spirit could actually be selected as the unique ally for Exar Kun, Dark Force Spirit's Dark Spirit. I can actually find nothing against this, as it doesn't use targeting rules, which would be the only stipulation. Could you give Ragnos FR1, which would allow him to haunt a character with FR1 and give that character a much larger pool of force points to use in the end?

Yes, it would be legal.

It was probably overlooked. I don't see anything terribly problematic about it, since you loose the Sith Rage granted by Exar. It's not worth errata'ing, since Eternal Force Spirit is already massive enough.

Not to mention, when the living character gets snuffed, you lose 31 points on the ghosts. Ouch.

Looking over the Sith. This could be a nasty 31 pt combo. Nice thinking Adam

No, because that would fall under stacking (one Thought Bomb per defeat).

That would definitely make spending a force point to try and make Marka DFS go away a much more appealing proposition. And themeatically it still makes sense imo. 2 force ghosts working together seems entirely plausible and as long as it doesn't create a truly broken scenario I don't see why it would need to be fixed.

I don't think its broken, i'm just trying to find a way to make it competitive... which it may not be either.

The only weird thing I can really think of is this situation
Exar Kun haunts Marka Ragnos; Marka Ragnos haunts Atton "Jaq" Rand. Atton is deafeated. Eternal Sith Spirit Triggers, and the only unique force user left is Exar Kun. Marka Ragnos hasn't been defeated yet so Exar Kun stuck around. Then they are haunting each other...unless I am missing something.
It isn't exceptionally useful, but if your opponent has no Force Users, it would be annoying to deal with.

Yep. In a tournament, it won't be an issue. As the spirits can't gain Gambit. So, you will outscore them both with the 10 rounds you can get. And if it is just weenies left, the game ends and you compare points.

Oh wow... yeah, thats a really good point. would the two ghosts just haunt each other indefinitely? They can't ghost each other indefinitely because only Marka has Eternal Dark Spirit which is that SA that allows you to haunt a different force user when the one you are ghosting is defeated. So while Marka can jump from Jaq to Exar DFS it will end there if you have no more force users. Speaking of Jaq, am I understanding correctly that if Marka DFS is ghosting him that Jaq can spend his own FP once and one of Marka's in the same turn to try and make avoid defeat saves? Now that could get crazy!

Yes. It grants a limited form of MOTF 2.
