The Sith are again rising and this time really seething with force lightning energy, to announce the Strategicon LAX Convention "OrcCon 2013", which people have been coming to for many years, will be sponsoring 2 SWM events on Sunday, February 17, 2013, 11:00am-8:00pm, at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel , located just a few minutes from LAX.

Event # 1: 11:00am-3:00pm: SWM 200pt Sealed booster draft tournament, Virtual sets 1-4. Each participant will receive 1 random booster from each of the virtual sets put out by SWM Gamers; Destiny of the Force, Renegades & Rogues, Vengeance, and Scum & Villainy. From the 4 boosters, you will construct the best 200pt team, faction rules do not apply. Gambit will be in effect and all maps except Korriban, Mustafar, or any of the snow planets that feature open snowy plains, will be allowed.


Lunch: 3:00pm-4:00pm


Event #2: 4:00-8:00pm: is an event scenario called "Escape from the Death Star". This scenario will take place on the Death Star on real life sci-fi terrain. This scenario is to bring up to 150pts (You may not have any character named Vader, Emperor Palpatine, or Leia, or any single character over 99pts in value on your build and faction rules apply). Scenario objectives; 1) Leave the Millenium Falcon undetected (hint; only a Jedi has this power), 2) turn the tractor beam off, 3) rescue Princess Leia, 4) get back to the Millenium Falcon. First person to achieve all objectives, wins the scenario! This is the fun one, so bring out the figs that are collecting dust and put them out on the battlefield. This promises to be an awesome time with random occurrences and plenty of raw uncut SWM action on incredible real life sci-fi terrain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



For those of you that don't know, Strategicon, is the proud Con that is So Cals finest gaming convention! It takes place Labor Day Weekend, Presidents Day Weekend, and Memorial Day weekend. Each holiday weekend has a special Con name, and Presidents Day weekend is known as OrcCon. Please join us in battle as we slash, Force push, lightning, grip, Sith sorcery, whirlwind, blast, grenade, missles, pulse cannon, atlatyl, razorbug, and thudbug the weekend away.
