Being activated has no effect on whether or not you can use Surprise Attack.
It looks like we played it right. Luck ran my way and I made the evades, but he missed his.
Another question came up - he went first, do I still have to declare if I am going to use it as well? Or can I wait to see what happens (ie maybe use a FP to reroll an evade)
I'm thinking you don't have to decide until its your "turn" during the "imediately after initiative is determined" pseudo round.
In other words - correct me if I am wrong, but this how it goes:
- Determine initiative.
- whoever goes first, must then declare with each of their characters which has an "imediately after initiative is determined" abilities and then use them (one at a time until all on this team have gone.)
- the opponent then does the same with their squad. (Only with surviving figures)
- the first player starts their first activation.
It's getting kinda crazy with all the stuff that happens imediately after initiative is determined.
Just off the top of my head, we have:
Surprise Move
Intuition
Surprise Attack
T-series CE
(at least one more in vset 5)
So we need to have a real firm idea of how all this works.
