If a character with Bravado attempts to enter an adjacent space to a higher cost figure with Jedi Reflexes and is defeated by the AoO, does he ever actually enter that square and consequently able to use Bravado with a deathshot?
I am thinking that this interaction is similar to a lancer strafing a character... are the two interactions similar?

Strafe Attack has different conditions set to it, thus does not apply here.
Jedi Reflexes provokes an AoO when a character actually enters a square, it has to be this way, or Melee Attack prevents the ability from working. The timing is just like Mines. So the character is in the square when they are defeated.

A melee scrub swarm can't even hit a stud like Coran Horn JM since they die before they get to him. At least that was my understanding. So how is this different?

It's not. When a character enters the square, the Jedi Reflexes AoO is made, while the character is in the adjacent square. So, if the character is defeated and makes a death shot, they get all the bonuses for being adjacent.

But Corran Horn, JM has reach 2, so wouldn't they not be adjacent to him when he makes the AoO or is that one of the weird things about Reach I forgot

My brain went blank for a minute and should have re-read Jedi Reflexes, sorry, but I think that is what Tim was asking.

It has to do with the timing of the events. Jedi reflexes essentially has 2 separate "triggers" for when a character makes an AoO.
1) like normal when a character who is adjacent tries to leave. This trumps everything and happens before anything else happens (specifically preventing any strafe attacks among other things).
2) When a character enters a square that it adjacent to the character with Jedi-reflexes. In this case, the timing is like with mines and it happens after the character actually enters the square (but still before anyone can do anything else).

So death-shots with bravado and damage done by self destruct to the character with J/R still happen, but if they get killed on the way in they still can't make their normal attack?

Yes. Because when the AoO is made, you must resolve the attack, which includes defeat and effects triggered as defeat, such as Self Destruct and deathshots. All of this happens before a character has the option to make their normal attack.
