Wow! That looks amazing! Beyond professional-grade! DarphNader, you're a lucky man! BigGrin pastor, how much would you charge to make (and send me, obviously) one of these? It'll probably be well otuside my price range for the near future but I'd like to keep it in mind.

I got about 50 bucks in it and I am guess it would cost about 15 - 20 to ship (flat rate box and packing materials). I am in the middle of moving so all of my molding stuff is packed up and it takes a bit to make all of the molds. If you are interested let me know and I will start working on it as soon as I can.

That is really neat; reminds me of the ring from Darth Maul's comicbook appearances.
Top job all round.

Some constructive feedback and thoughts/reflections on the project:
Does the model get hot (especially after prolonged operation)?
How is the model powered? (if it uses loads of those small round batteries, itd be annoying to change them)/what is the models continuous illumination operation time?
Does the model move easily for storage/gaming purposes? Further, could it be modular and interchangeable so as to increase options and ring panel effects? (as in, a water effect acrylic panel, gas etc).
Could there be a "sound effects" deluxe version? BigGrin

Also, how hard would it be in future to make different shapes illuminate? Such as cones, spheres and irregular shapes (im thinking battlefield effects tokens/markers, which could be used in tabletop games)
Im also thinking 'green lantern' force walls/a forcefield box would be easy to do judging by this concept. If so, this could be a handy product to market to Heroclix players, W40K players; Tabletop gamers of all sorts BigGrin

Thanks again for sharing!

The model is powered by a 9volt battery and 8 LEDs. It will last about 2 hours of continuous burn without getting hot at all. We wired it to be brighter rather than last longer. The model is pretty easy to move around the post don't hold any weight there are 4 smaller post under the base that hold all the weight.

The "ray shields" Are removable so I guess you could put other effect in there though I don't even begin to know how to do water or gas though I have no idea how to do that. I think the only way to make objects on the board to glow would be to wire the entire board with lights that way when you place a color marker on the board it would glow. That is way beyond my skill. In fact my neighbor wired it up for me. Same goes for the sound effects.

It doesn't have sound effects I wouldn't even begin to know how to make that happen

Quick question: How big is it? By the machine (sewing machine?) in the back, and the fact that the middle play area is 6 squares by 6 squares, I would guess the whole thing is about 4-5 inches tall, 8-9 inches long (max)? And how heavy?

Its actually 8x8 with a playing area of 7x7 (legal playing size for King of the Ring) it is 5 inches tall and weights about 7-8lbs.
