So today is the release date for V-set 5, Galactic Heroes! You can find a PDF of the cards (including the The Old Republic microset and the Bounty Hunter's Challenge cards) over at www.swmresources.com. Just look under "Virtual Sets" and then click on "Galactic Heroes"! You might also note that there is now a PayPal donate button in the top right corner of the page. I've been running SWMResources for a while now, and I'm very happy to continue to do so for as long as it's being used. However, it does cost me some money, and some changes in my life (mostly that I'm now engaged) have made money a little tighter than when I started the site. I don't want to ever have to run ads, so if you could donate anything to help cover the costs of keeping the site up, that would be greatly appreciated! Enjoy the new set! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does with all these great new cards.

Thanks Echo The Bloomilk update is in progress. Just thought I'd get that said before threads start popping up.

All Hail the One True Emperor!
This set is great. Thank you so much for continuing to breathe life into this game and to keep it from becoming stagnate. Again, a big thank you to everyone that has work on these V-Sets.

Thank you and all the VSetters!
Two things, nothing major: 1) you have an extra page in the PDF so it is one more than necessary. 2). When will the updated Faction pdf's be posted?

Still looking over the set but really liking it so far! I just want to say I'm a big fan of the one-word names. Juggernaut, Vanguard, Smuggler. I really like the simplicity there, not everything has to be Old Republic blah blah. sometime it has to be and I 100% understand that and don't really mind it I just really like the simple names.
And while Luke Skywalker, Galactic Hero is still my favorite piece in the set Chief Tarfful will give him a run for his money. MY WOOKIEE SQUADS BECOMES EVEN MORE DEADLY!

One small wording clarification to Tim's post ^ Quote:Resol'nare [After initiative is determined, this character and allied Mandalorians within 3 squares may move up to 6 squares. You may not use Resol’nare in the same round with Battle Ready.] In any case, this should be interesting.

A lot of movement breakers.

Wow there is a lot of fresh stuff there, big thanks to the VSet designers and my group and I appreciate all you do to keep the game going, balanced, interesting, and actually doing a better job then when WOTC was running it.
My big favorites: Sev'rance Tann! Finally I have wanted her forever and she is even better then I could have thought. I will actually play huges again now. Thanks you. (Side note on the Seps, I think this is the first time ever that the Seps have had more then one piece and not one is a droid??? Actually there wasn't a single droid this set?? It's cool but I miss my droids. :( haha)
Mezhan Kwad is a game changer! Actually they got a lot of new interesting options this set.
Marn, yes! Con artist rocks! Very fun nice piece I will fit into my squads if possible. Great to see Zayne get a boost too, curious as to what "restrictions" it's ignoring. Droid/Vong only? Commanders only? Non-uniques?
Also very cool to see the Old Republic classes and supporting characters make an appearance. I have no idea who Hal of those uniques are though haha.

Oh and because there is always one... Darth Malgus, not a fan of this one. Snatching up your critical defenseless commanders and cutting them down?

Wow... they've started using R/VR proxies for non-uniques. Didn't see that coming.
Any expectation on when cards ship?

Great work v-set 5 designers - I think there's lots of good stuff.
My favourites at first glance: Mezhan Kwaad - I like the way they've tackled the problem for the lack of fringe shooter synergy (eg Dash, Cad Bane) for the Vong with Neural Mapping. Nei Rin is also really strong.
Kelborn - the relay orders stuff is cool and he's a great attacker too - I think he'll be good with Jaster?
Caedus and Malgus - the two big Sith with unique movement breaking abilities. Malgus is limited by some rules though, right? He can't just grab Poggle the Lesser from across the board and start smashing him.
Luke Galactic Hero - GMA is a great CE for the New Republic

I really think his true strength lies in Resol'nare. The undisruptable pseudo-intuition granting SA that can be giving to a whole "pod" of mandos is what will make him the new staple of the Mandalorian faction. For Malgus' CE - the key word is "target".
