I know this has been covered, but for the life of me I can not find it Angry

Which maps are legal for Regionals this year?

If I remeber correctly, and I could be wrong, Regionals get to choose which maps to play? If that is the case, which maps are legal for the Michigan and Atlantas regionals?

Each regional has its own approved map list. They have them separated into different map list (A-C) if I remember correctly. I will see if I can find that link.

Michigan posted in the events area. The map list they are using is A.

Edit: the lists on the updated floor rules

Here is what they had on gamers as far as the actual restricted list

Appendix C: Restricted Map Lists

Restricted A-------------------Restricted B -------------Restricted C

Just curious, is Simulation Deck supposed to be set on Tatooine? Or is it there to balance out the maplist in some way?

I just had that conversation with someone the other day. If you notice they have spread out the maps created by WotC, Maps of Mastery and Jedi Cartographer as evenly as possible. I'm guessing that is intentional. Beyond that the themes work pretty well for the lists and in theory a "simulation deck" could simulate Tatooine. That's my guess anyway. It's not perfect but it works out pretty nicely imo.

I know that the spreading of WOTC maps was 100% intentional. Not sure if the MoM and JC was intentional as well, but it sure works out nice.

The reasoning was that we want someone to be able to have only bought WOTC stuff and still compete. Maplist is covered and Bill made the finals of Gencon (our world championship) with all WOTC pieces in his squad.

They were intentional.
