If you defeat an enemy with force push or force repulse do you remove them from play before or after moving them?

the damage goes on before the movement so if you do enough to defeat them they are removed from their initial spot.

Since damage is resolved before movement, the defeat would be resolved before movement as well.

So I once read someone had used a strategy of pushing Kel-Dors into other enemies for the self-destruct damage.
This is totally illegal then cuz the Kel Dor would be removed before moving into the enemy?
