Let's talk about the newest map on the restricted list - it got issued with the reissue of the Anchorhead map late last year. Made by: Adventurers Atlas Year of Release: 2012 Current Status: Restricted List B - what do you like about this map? - what squads does it suit? - which side do you normally choose? - a memorable game on this map? - and anything else you want to talk about - also, what is the area on the right of the gambit room - is it a pit, or normal squares? I'm not sure if this map is missing some terrain markings. You can buy this map from http://gamingmaps.blogspot.com/

Well, it has the advantage that you know where you will be starting so you can pick your squad accordingly. IMO, it plays alot like Bespin (only better) as there aren't any field wide LOS and each player has some safe spots to start.

This was a bonus map for me, as I participated in the Kickstarter to get the updated Anchorhead map so I could save wear and tear on my original one. I've only played a few games on it and have always started from the right. I agree that it is similar to Cloud City in that the 'outside' side is the side you'll end up with if you bring this map and win map roll. I've been able to advance from the right easily enough, but other than that, I haven't had enough time on it yet.

I like it Havent played on it yet though. The room the area to the right of the gambit area is indeed pit. I'm pretty sure it's marked on the map, right? I drew and re-drew this map about 20 times until I got it right.

I've never seen this map before, but from first glance it looks a bit exposed on the right. Apart from that it looks pretty good.

Sweet - thanks, I didn't realise you could buy them from there - I got mine from the Kickstarter. I love that Vong map by the way - I hope it gets widely released.

I can't wait to get a game in on this map. It was a pleasant surprise when I got my Anchorhead copy. And while its a touch unfortunate that the pit lines were left off its pretty easy to tell from the art that is what it is so no biggie.
The map looks great and I think its a bit deceptive to just how much cover you can get on the right.
