I haven't read the comics, but after reading his wookiepedia article, it seems that Thon did in fact have a lightsaber, but never used it. Am I correct? It appears from the article that whenever he fought he used his claws, teeth, etc, and the force.

I read the comics several years ago but I don't honestly recall if he used a lightsaber, somehow I don't think he did though it would be cool to see a thon with telikentic combat

He did not use the lightsaber at all in the comic, but since he did have one it would imply that he did use it at one point in time.
