V-Set Vong and General Grievious Options

Okay folks, quick question for you.

There is a V-Set Vong piece that can take an enemies Commander Effect.
General Grievous has a commander effect that only applies to droids.
The Vong piece says it replaces any faction specific wording with "Vong", but "droid" isn't faction specific.

So if the Vong piece takes General Grievous's command effect, does "droid" get replaced with Vong, even though it isn't a faction?
