The wording on nei rin and mandalore the lesser confuses me, what exactly does affinity do to characters your bring into your squad in terms of faction. (like, if mandalore the lesser is in a sith squad, then are any mandalorians your use in your squad also sith, or still mandalorian?)
Also, How does Holosid's CE interactact with Cadeus SL, does he end up getting renewal 2 and renewal 1 or is 1 canceled out?

His CE allows Mandos in. These Mandos are still Mandos acting in a Sith squad and their faction isn't changed. So unless, the CE is generic (Troopers or Followers) or Mando specific, they can't be affected. As for Holo Sid's CE, look up stacking. Two instances of FR 1 is still FR 1 as they do not stack.

Nei Rin's wording prevents Vong characters' faction from changing when in a NR squad via Affinity, so they remain subject to Shaper etc and CEs that specify Yuuzhan Vong (as a faction) characters.
CEs or SAs (as in Immediate Droid Reserves or Garm's Reinforcements) that allow characters of one faction to be in a squad of another faction do not change the faction of those characters.
Same named SAs and Force Powers do not stack. If a character is subject to more than one at a time, they take the higher benefit (or the penalty if applicable). An ability that stacks will explicitly say so in it definition.
