A character NAMED (---), subtitles...? Options

If a SA says (... a character named Darth Sidious), does it count for all Sidious (Darth Sidious, Sith Matermind, Darth Sidious, Dark Lord of the Sith etc.) since they all have Darth Sidious, and the rest is just a subtitle?

I'd say yes it does because his name still contains the core phrase named by the ability

Incorrect.

If it says NAMED, it is only that specific name, it can't have a variation. Which is why a lot of pieces have abilities that say "counts as a character NAMED X".

What you are thinking of is if says "name contains".

This is all covered in the rulebook glossary.

Ok, thanks Sithborg. I wanted to make sure it wasn't different with Unique characters, with all the subtitles and all.
