We played 3-player where you win if you kill the person to your right. First person to take out your target wins.
We used Ravaged Base and it worked pretty well - any other suggestions for which map(s) would work well for that format?

Hmph. That's actually a really interesting idea. My gamegroup has always had the "3 person" dilemma. Ultimately, one person makes a 200 point team, and the others will make 100 point teams, and it becomes a 1v2.
I'm going to pitch this idea to the group tonight and see how it turns out. Thanks!

It worked really well. In most 3-player combat games, A and B fight... then C comes in and crushes them both because they're both so weakened from beating each other up. In this format, there's no advantage to trying sit things out. There are also a lot more attacks of opportunity, because you have to focus most of your attention on your target - so it's often worth taking an AoO to get away from the person attacking you.
There was a bit of a 'merry go round' thing going on, though, as we ran around in circles - each person chasing down someone else. A map that funnels everyone to the center more, or at least has less chance of running around in circles, might work better. We didn't run into this, but the game could be thrown off a lot by someone just leaving a Mouse Droid hiding in the back. Hard to take out the opponent's whole squad when there's that one figure left hiding. Simple rules fix could handle it, I'm sure - but better if everyone just plays in the spirit of the game.

Interesting idea. My only question was did you use one map or link up +2? I could see one map getting kinda crowded.

We used 100-pt squads, so it wasn't crowded at all. In fact, 2 of the squads were 4 activations or less.
Vong (mostly Ossus - 4 activations) chasing Imperial (New Fel, Draco, Knight) Imperial chasing Seps (Hero of Hypori + Droideka + various flavors of Battle Droid) Seps chasing Vong
Squads were thrown together pretty quickly - none of them were powerhouses. Seps ended up winning.
It was on one map - Ravaged Base (Commander's Office)

I've played many, many triple threat games. Function of my playgroup structure. Maps I tend to like for it include Muunilist Plaza, Imperial Base/Throne Room (mainly due to the interesting situations it creates rather than special balance), the train station forget the official name, Star Forge, and really any of the 4 desert Invasion maps. There are more but that's all I can dredge up atm.

I like Exodus Class Cruiser, as it has safe set up areas that lead into one big room in the middle.
