I've been talking with a few others about the possibility of a Delaware regional (we could potentially hold it at DoK, pending verifiication that they still have stock, as they did recently). Is there any interest for this?

I'd be interested (though I don't know what DoK is) in driving out from PA if I could make it

DoK=Days of Knights, a game store in Newark.

What's the last Saturday that would allow the regional to slip in before GenCon?

Got it. Ok yeah that isn't too far I can make that drive.

Depending on this of course. There are only a few days I probably couldn't do.

Gen COn is the 15th of August so the Saturday before that is the 10th of August but I don't know if that is tecnically enough time.

The regional Calendar has the last scheduled regional on the 29th of June (I know I can't do that date,) but lists the last realistic date as July 27th.

Late July should work well for me as well if that ends up being the consensus

I should be able to do any weekend in July except the 4th (which I assume would be avoided anyway)

DoK is a cool store and I love the restaurants in that part of Newark so it'd be nice to have one in that area.

We do have excellent restaraunts here, I have to say. There's a number of places to get takeout from, including a Seasons Pizza and a Burger King immediately opposite the game "club," and there are also a number of nice restaraunts to eat in rather than get take out. There's a Mexican cuisine grill-type place across the street, a Middle Eatsern restaraunt next to DoK, etc.

Almost seems like the city planners knew what they were doing. Flapper

They built that.

If July 27 works, that gets my vote.

I'll put in my vote for the 27th as well.

I'll head to DoK tommorow and check on their stock.

It has been my experience that store owners love it when you dole out store credit as prize support. It's also the easiest and safest way to do it; you don't have to make any decisions until you see the take. Just 2 cents from a guy who has put together a few of these.

That's a good idea, I'll ask them about it. What should I say when talking to the store owners, in terms of official support, etc?

Checked at DoK. They have 2 Attack on Endor scenario packs, 2 SSB packs, 2 Clone Wars packs, 2 Jedi Academy packs, and 2 Masters of the Force packs, as well as a number of Saga RPG sourcebooks (and other SW books) and a copy of Ultimate Missions: Rebel Storm(!). So store credit will work as prize support.

More importantly, is table space available on the 27th?

Still have to see about that. The store staff I know weren't in, and I figured it's better to talk to them.

Dang. They used to have some AoE and I always picked up a pack when I was in the area since it's the only set where I could get something good I don't yet have.

Anyway, the 27 looks go to me too.

So right now we have

Hinkbert-probably
Tim (me)-definitely
AndyHatton-probably
FlyingArrow-probably
1-2 (most likely) players from Darth_Jim's group-probably (from a PM)

Anyone else interested? Lefties, do you still poke your head around here?
